Maker Studio Launch Event: Future Fleet 2050

What will the Royal Navy look like in 2050? From sustainable ships and underwater robots to autonomous technology and renewable energy, the future of the fleet starts with imaginative ideas!

Join us for the launch of Maker Studio and become a future engineer for the day. Inspired by the challenges facing the Royal Navy and our oceans, families can explore how science, technology, engineering and creativity could help shape the future of maritime operations.

Get hands-on as you design, experiment and prototype your own ideas for future vessels, drones, underwater technologies or sustainable systems. How could your invention help the Royal Navy operate more sustainably, explore the oceans or overcome tomorrow’s challenges? There’s no single right answer, so let your curiosity lead the way!

Celebrating Tomorrow’s Engineers Week and its theme, Shape Our Future, this launch introduces Maker Studio, a new monthly programme inviting families to explore real-world engineering challenges, discover inspiring Royal Navy innovations and develop the confidence to turn ideas into reality.

Whether you’re an aspiring engineer or simply love making and creating, come along, get inventive and help shape the future.
